Using digital media in lectures is becoming more and more important. Interactive boards, tablets and digital bulletin boards are everyday fixtures at any modern university.
But how do digital universities work? How do you make the best use of the new techniques for your lectures and how do these improve the teaching and learning situation at your university?
Future technologies such as augmented and virtual reality are on the rise and are no longer just dreams of the future.
Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are reality technologies that either augment or replace a real environment with a simulated environment. Augmented reality (AR) enhances your environment by adding digital elements to a live view, often using a smartphone's camera. Virtual reality (VR) is a fully immersive experience that replaces a real environment with a simulated environment.
There is a special area at LEARNTEC in hall 2 specifically for the augmented and virtual reality sector, where all exhibitors present their products and services. There is also an AR/VR Stage right next to the AR/VR Area, where topic-specific presentations and workshops will be held throughout the three days.
The growing trend towards digitisation is changing the way in which we live, teach and work – both today and in the future. These days, practical, life-long education is scarcely imaginable without the use of digital media. Particularly when it comes to corporate training and further education, digital media offer new opportunities for communication and networking and allow teaching and learning content to be conveyed more effectively. This year, for the 32nd time, LEARNTEC shows how we are evolving towards a digital learning culture, demonstrating the latest applications, programmes and solutions for IT-supported learning.
Contemporary learning can no longer do without technology. In this regard, learning culture and digitisation are by no means incompatible. Rather, the many new technical ideas, geared innovatively and flexibly to the target group, the learning goals and the learning situation, allow the most suitable learning solution to be found. They create space for mobile, personalised and needs-oriented concepts for your company and your staff.
Visit the trade fair and profit from LEARNTEC’s wide-ranging programme. By comparing the latest solutions at first hand, you will be able to find the one that is most suitable for your company.

The LEARNTEC Future Lab is a lively experience area at LEARNTEC, where trade fair visitors can get to know future technologies and visions relating to digital learning.
In 2024, the Future Lab was dedicated to AI, robotics and smart learning tools, and visitors were able to experience what the digital future looks like and try out the latest technologies such as AI and robotics live. In the “AI Corner”, AI expert Christian Steiner showed, among other things, how companies can cleverly use AI for further training. The IRAS - Institute for Robotics and Autonomous Systems at Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences is dedicated to the trending topic of robotics and e-learning expert Sünne Eichler will be presenting daily changing trends such as learning companions, smart learning tools and social robots in the “Co-Creation Room”.
